For those who visit Salt Lake City, Temple Square will provide uplifting ways to learn about temples and feel closer to Jesus Christ. You may find it helpful to share these offerings with people in your area who plan to visit. The options below highlight the experiences that will be available during the celebration.

In-Person Celebration Opportunities
The Salt Lake Temple Open House Tour
The highlight of the in-person experiences on Temple Square, the open house tour of the Salt Lake Temple invites guests to see inside this newly renovated and expanded building. Free tickets can be accessed on the Temple Square App beginning September 1, 2026.
Temple Square Visitors’ Center
The new Temple Square Visitors’ Center invites public guests of all ages to learn about the purpose of temples around the world. Through exhibits, artwork, and guided tours, visitors learn about God’s plan, reflect in peaceful spaces, and walk through displays that model a temple interior.
Temple Celebration Films
Also available to the public online, temple celebration films will be screened in various venues on Temple Square. Unshaken, a film about the Salt Lake Temple renovation, explains the remarkable undertaking to make seismic and other upgrades to the temple. Beacons of Light offers a visual journey through sacred houses of the Lord to share the light and comfort they bring to God’s children.
Temple Square Guest Experiences
Visitors to Temple Square will find a variety of all-new points of interest—including new statue gardens, tours of the Beehive and Lion Houses, experiences at the FamilySearch Library, Welfare Square (10-15 minutes away), musical performances, and much more. Rededication Event
The Salt Lake Temple will be rededicated in the months following the open house period. The dates are yet to be announced.
